Ryan Duffin

Partner

Ryan is one of the founding partners of Duffin and Hash, LLP. Ryan’s practice primarily focuses on civil litigation, generally in the area of insurance defense. In addition to general litigation, Ryan has defended and tried more complicated matters, including uninsured/underinsured claims and coverage issues. Ryan is also a certified civil mediator.

 

Ryan graduated from the Indiana University School of Law, cum laude, in 1991. He obtained an undergraduate degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 1988. Following graduation from law school, Ryan practiced at Jennings, Taylor Wheeler & Bouwkamp prior to founding Duffin & Hash, LLP in 2001.

Rob Hash

Partner

Rob is a founding partner of Duffin & Hash, LLP. A 1989 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of 

Business and 1992 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, Rob has experience working at a small 

general practice firm where he gained experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters, as 

well as a mid-sized firm where he gained significant litigation experience in a multitude of areas. Rob has several years of 

experience as primary counsel on numerous jury trials, mediations, and arbitrations throughout Indiana.

 

Rob is proud to have served as an officer in the Indiana Army National Guard for 14 years, ending his service in 1999. The 

majority of Rob’s military service was as an air defense artillery officer. He also served as a military intelligence officer, and 

was an honor graduate of the Air Defense Artillery Officer’s Basic Course; Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Course; 

Military Intelligence Transition Course; and Military Intelligence Officer Advance Course.

 

Rob was born and raised in Indianapolis.  He currently lives in Mooresville with his wife, Andrea.  Rob and Andrea have twin 

daughters.

Lori Coates

Partner

Lori Coates is a 2001, cum laude, graduate of the University of Evansville and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University School of Law- Indianapolis. Prior to graduating from the University of Evansville, Lori worked in the Child Support Division of the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office and at Krieg DeVault, LLP in the firm’s governmental affairs division. During law school Lori worked at Meils, Thomspon, Dietz, and Berish with a focus on insurance defense and Plaintiff’s personal injury suits. Lori joined Duffin & Hash, LLP in May 2005.

Barbara Besore Denton

Of Counsel

Be is a 1985 graduate of Indiana University and a 1988 graduate of Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. Following law school, Be worked as an associate at the Indianapolis law firm now known as Lewis & Wagner. Following her work at Lewis & Wagner, Be worked at the Indianapolis law firm, Lowe Gray Steele & Hoffman.

 

After several years gaining experience in a variety of matters, Be moved to Jennings Taylor Wheeler & Bouwkamp, P.C., where she was a supervising attorney and partner. At each firm, she concentrated her practice on insurance defense matters including insurance coverage issues, medical malpractice, and product liability defense. Be joined Duffin & Hash, LLP in January 2002, and now practices primarily in third-party insurance defense litigation.

Megan Wells

Associate

Megan Wells is a 1999 graduate of Indiana University—Bloomington and a 2004 graduate of Indiana University School of Law –Indianapolis. Ms. Wells focuses her practice on family law in all of its capacities, including dissolution of marriage, paternity, establishing and modifying child custody,establishing and modifying child support, establishing and modifying parenting time, adoption and guardianship.

 

In her practice, Megan thoroughly understands that she represents individuals and families in transitional phases in their lives. She understands that family law issues are often sensitive ones, and has the compassion, experience, and legal knowledge to provide representation to individuals at what can be the most difficult or the most exciting time in their lives. Megan professionally handles each case individually knowing that each family is unique as are the circumstances in each family law case.

 

Megan strives to effectively advocate each client’s position and obtain the best possible outcome for each client in all family law matters.

Donna Rowe

Legal Assistant/Scheduling

Donna was born and raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Warren Central High School.  She has worked as a legal assistant for over 25 years in various areas of law and has been with Duffin & Hash, LLP since July 2011.  She and her husband have two grown daughters and reside in Shelby County.  Donna enjoys reading, college volleyball and attending NHL games.

Pam Francis

Administrative Support

Pam is originally from Marion, Indiana and currently resides in Indianapolis. She is a graduate of Eastbrook High School. She is the mother of two and has two beautiful granddaughters. Pam has been with the firm since 2009. She provides administrative support for the firm.

Madonna Bell

Legal Assistant

Madonna is from Indianapolis but grew up in Thorntown, Indiana and gradutated from Western Boone High School. She has 33 years of legal experiencce in various types of law with the last 20 years dedicated to family law. Madonna lives in Indianapolis with her husband. She enjoys activities with the Daughters of America, scrapbooking, and is a racing and football fan.

Christie Liggins

Legal Assistant/Scheduling

Christie was born and raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Warren Central High School.  She has worked as a legal assistant for 30 years in various areas of law and we are pleased to have her on the team; especially Rob, as now he can see his sister every day.  She has two adult children and one granddaughter. Christie resides in Clinton County and enjoys spending time with her “gran-girl”, reading, and college basketball.
